Man shot to death over road rage

It may be the first road rage-related death in Chattanooga’s history. A 39-year-old man was shot to death at the intersection of Moore Road and North Terrace at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Norman Gallman, of Ooltewah, was found in his Honda CR-V. There was also a female passenger in the vehicle, who was uninjured. Police say Gallman got into a dispute with 62-year-old Richard Manning in the middle of the road. That’s when Manning fired a single gunshot before going back to his home, where police later found him. Manning is facing charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
