Cop fired after shooting, pepper spraying squirrel

A Tennessee police officer has been fired after shooting and pepper spraying a squirrel inside a store. It happened in Mountain City. Officer Jody Putnam was inside a Dollar General when employees noticed the squirrel. He apparently shot at it with his firearm, but when that didn’t work, he pulled out pepper spray, which also affected the store’s customers. Authorities say he was fired from the force because he refused to file a report about firing his weapon.
