Chattanooga Update - May 22, 2015

Catoosa County shut down a three-day motorcycle rally planned this weekend. The county denied a permit request for the Party at the Peavine. County administrator James Davis said the event sounds similar to a 2006 rally where people walked around naked, had sex in public, and porn was projected on screens large enough to be seen from the interstate. Davis also says the organizers, Gerald Drain and Kenny Cross, made multiple mistakes on their permit application. Even though the 2006 event was organized by a different group, it was held on Drain’s land. The organizers say they believe the previous party is the real reason their permit was denied.
